Simon Hodges
Head of Public Policy

With extensive knowledge of Westminster and Whitehall, Simon joined Citigate Dewe Rogerson from HSBC where he was responsible for designing the UK bank’s government relations strategy and delivering it’s engagement program on, amongst others, the bank’s response to the Independent Commission on Banking report and changes to the UK’s regulatory architecture.
Prior to HSBC he worked for 10 years at HM Treasury, including as Head of the Special Advisers Private Office from 2008 to 2010, a role which saw him coordinating political advice across the institution, including various policy responses to the financial crisis and numerous fiscal events. He was also Assistant Private Secretary to the Permanent Secretary, providing advice on a number of policy areas and leading on the Treasury’s legislative program.
Simon has an MA in Policy Administration and Management.
